Houthi militants have suspended the activities of six mega money transfer companies and urged all Yemenis and banks to withdraw their remittances and money from these companies within 48 hours.
The militants issued the decision through the Central Bank of Yemen, which is controlled by the Iranian-backed rebel group in Sanaa, Al Arabiay channel said on Sunday.
Under the decision, all licences granted to the six companies will come to a halt as of September 22.
The companies are Al Najm, Al Moheet, Dadiya, Yemen Express, Al Emtyaz and Al Yabany.
