The London-based media institute, The Levant, will organize a seminar on the Muslim Brotherhood in mid-October.
Titled “Eye on the Brotherhood”, the seminar will throw light on the ideology of the Islamist organization and the strategies it follows in Europe. The seminar will also shed light on the dangers posed to world security by the presence of the secret apparatus of the Brotherhood.
The seminar will include two sessions, according to the institute, including one on the dangers the Brotherhood poses to European security and its strategies in the continent. The session will also focus on financial support to the organization.
The second session will discuss the dangers the same organization poses to world security. This session of the seminar will focus on the ideologies of the Brotherhood and the work of its secret apparatus.
Danger
There are growing calls for designating the Brotherhood a “terrorist” organization, especially in the US and Europe.
In a recent report, the US-based think tank Gatestone Institute said that the White House has, since April, been considering officially designating the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
This designation, it said, would follow in the footsteps of countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates, which have first-hand experience and understanding of the serious threat the group represents.
Gatestone Institute noted that the Brotherhood’s influence in Turkey is also worrisome.
Over the past few decades, the Brotherhood and its supporters have managed to Islamize a significant portion of Turkish society.
The current president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is a strong supporter of the organization, the institute said.
Imagine for a moment what might happen if the European Union made the mistake of accepting Turkey as a member, it added.
Turkey could, as it has been threatening to do anyway, dramatically facilitate the Brotherhood agenda simply by providing entry visas for huge numbers of Islamists from across the Middle East.
They could quite literally flood Europe, which is already facing a possible clash of civilizations, and, even without unleashing new waves of terror, demographically change the future of the Europe forever.
Destructive strategy
Former Brotherhood member Ibrahim Rabie said the destructive strategy of the Brotherhood in Europe manifested itself in close relations between the leaders of the organization in Europe and some of their sponsor states, such as Iran, Qatar and Turkey.
He told The Reference that the Brotherhood expects to be designated a terrorist organization any time soon.
“European governments know the history of this organization fully well,” he said. “They are aware of Brotherhood support to protest movements in Arab states and its involvement in violence.”
