There are renewed calls in the UK for banning the Muslim Brotherhood, years after a 2014 campaign in this regard by former British premier David Cameron.
British parliament member Khalid Mahmood said several predominantly Muslim states had banned the Brotherhood already.
The UK, he added, should follow in the footsteps of those states.
He accused organizations working under the umbrella of the Muslim Brotherhood of making rifts between societies and their Muslim members.
In 2014, Cameron launched a campaign for revising the ideas of the Brotherhood, referring to possible links between the group and extremism.
European terrorism specialists called, meanwhile, on European governments to ban the group, accusing it of playing a role in destabilizing European societies.
Eye on Brotherhood
An October 17 seminar in London threw light on the ideologies of and strategies followed by the Brotherhood in Europe.
The seminar, which was organized by the Levant Media Center, also threw light on the dangers posed by the secret apparatus of the Brotherhood.
A European terrorism expert said the ideology of the Brotherhood is even more dangerous than the Islamist group.
This ideology has been dividing European societies for decades now, Michael Lubkh said.
He held the ideology of the Brotherhood responsible for the emergence of the far-right in Europe itself.
He called on the UK to do something to keep the lid on the dangers posed by the Brotherhood.
Lubkh accused Qatari and Turkish charities of bankrolling the Brotherhood in illegal manners.
He warned against allowing the Brotherhood to be the only bridge between European governments and Muslim communities in Europe.
