The Arab League (AL) on Wednesday asserted its full support for all efforts that seek implementing programs fighting criminal and terrorist threats.
The remark came in the speech of AL Assistant Secretary General Mohamed Amin at the opening session of the 4th session of the committee on following up the second phase of the regional program of the Arab countries for fighting crimes and terrorism.
He urged upgrading mechanisms and strategies for fighting criminal and terrorist crimes through enhancing inter-Arab cooperation along with regional and international coordination.
The program is aimed at supporting efforts by the Arab countries for fighting threats through enhancing the sovereignty of the law along with sustainable development, he pointed out.
The program covers Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan Syria, Iraq, Oman, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar and Yemen, he noted.
