Germany’s Merkel to meet El-Sisi during hosting compact with Africa Summit

German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of the African Union and the leaders of the countries participating in the G20 summit and partnership with Africa.

Merkel stressed the need to support economic cooperation between Africa and the G20 countries through joint projects that contribute to accelerating the pace of growth in the continent in order to support development in African countries and attract investment to them.

The informal session for investing in Africa kicked off the G20 Summit in Africa in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The G20 initiative aims to support economic cooperation between Africa and the G20 countries through joint projects that contribute to accelerating the growth of the continent, which was launched by the Federal Republic of Germany in 2017, during its presidency of the G20, to support the development of countries. And attract investment to it.

President El Sisi is participating in the G-20 Africa Partnership Conference in Berlin today, with the participation of a number of African leaders, representatives of the private sector in Africa and a number of international organizations.

The President’s visit to Germany also includes intensive activity at the bilateral level, where German Chancellor Angela Merkel is scheduled to meet in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Germany in various fields, in addition to exchanging views and views, on the developments of regional and international issues, Common interest.

The President will meet with business leaders and heads of major German industrial companies, as part of Egypt’s efforts to encourage investment and promote comprehensive development efforts, as well as reviewing the developments of economic reform in Egypt, as well as developments in the implementation of development projects underway.
