In the American style, Baghdadi’s corpse becomes fish food

The United States may intend to deal with the body of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a similar manner to that of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 2011.

US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien said this hypothesis was likely, adding that Baghdadi’s remains would be properly disposed of.

He added that he expected the same approach as that used with the body of Osama bin Laden in 2011.

Iraqi sources said that Baghdadi’s head was transferred to the Ayn al-Asad base in Anbar.

In May 2011, Washington had announced it dumped the body of bin Laden in the sea after killing him in Pakistan, pointing out that throwing the body of the dead at sea was the best option for them due to lack of time.

In response to a question by NBC about the fate of Baghdadi’s body, O’Brien said, “His body will be disposed of properly,” noting that the operation to take out the world’s number one terrorist was named after Kayla Mueller, a US citizen killed by ISIS in 2015.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump said in a speech that the assassination team brought back Baghdadi’s remains, and after 15 minutes of tests, it was confirmed that it was he and his wives who blew themselves up.

While O’Brien did not say whether Baghdadi would be buried on land or at sea, he announced that DNA results had proved that he had been killed, noting that he could not disclose what he had seen in the operations room, but he stressed that US Special Forces elements had seen Baghdadi and confirmed his identity.

Also on the list of terrorist leaders with “unknown graves” is Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia who was killed by US forces in a raid in Iraq on June 7, 2006.

The United States said at the time that it handed over the body of Zarqawi to the Iraqi government, and the latter buried the body according to Islamic traditions and customs.

According to the American version, the Iraqi authorities buried the body of Zarqawi, but in a secret cemetery in an undisclosed location.
