Iran’s mullah regime has been like tumor in the Middle East since it was founded in 1979. The regime has drawn on all illegitimate means to realize its goals. Tehran has founded a number of terrorist entities in a number of countries, i.e. Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthi militias in Yemen, and the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq.
A number of countries have taken measures against growing Iranian terrorism. Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of State Security issued a statement on Oct. 30 blacklisting a number of organizations and institutions, which support Iran’s terrorist activities.
The list included Mehr Eqtesad Bank, Basij Resistance Force, Bonyad Taavan Basij, Mehr Eqtesad Iranian Investment Company, Tadirgaran Atiyeh Iranian Investment Company, Negin Sahel Roayl Investment Company, Bank Mellat, Technotar Engineering Company, Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company, Iran Zinc Mines Development Company and other companies.
The list also included individuals like Yusuf Hashim, Adnan Hussein Kawtharani, Qassim Abdullah Ali, Muhammad Farhat, Shibl Muhsin Al-Zaydi and Jawad Nasrallah.
In April, the United States designated Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a foreign terrorist organization.
US President Donald Trump said this unprecedented step, “recognizes the reality that Iran is not only a state sponsor of terrorism, but that the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] IRGC actively participates in, finances, and promotes terrorism as a tool of statecraft”.
