The Renaissance movement – the political arm of the terrorist Brotherhood – do not stop controlling the government, but at the same time they strive to remain in the shadows, especially after the “Democratic Movement” and “People’s Movement” parties abandoned the government formation consultations that they conducted. El-Habib el-Gamli, the prime minister in charge of the movement, resorted to an alternative plan, which is launching the initiative of the government of independent competencies.
Al-Gamali did not conduct any formal meetings with representatives of political parties or independent personalities, especially after he announced the formation of a government of independent competencies, only to consider the CVs he received from the independents.
Al-Gamali is selecting personalities to be appointed to the head of the 15 ministries that were to be granted to figures affiliated with political parties.
In parallel, unannounced consultations are still continuing between the Renaissance and the Heart of Tunisia and some heads of parliamentary blocs.
According to some leaks, Al-Gamali intends to appoint Judge Muhammad Ali Al-Barhoumi to head the Ministry of Justice, and Major General Mustafa Ferjani, to head the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, Al-Nahda Movement nominated the Ministry of Interior, “Sufyan Al-Said,” the former head of the Diwan at the Ministry of Local Communities, and “Sufyan al-Sulaiti,” the official spokesman for the anti-terror pole nominated by the Al-Karama Coalition, which is an ally of Al-Nahda.
What is striking is the Ennahda movement’s insistence on controlling the Ministry of the Interior, as it adheres to the appointment of “Sulaiti”, as well as “el-Sayd”, and other names that are prosecuted, so that it can control the two ministries, according to what Hisham al-Ajbouni, a leader in the Democratic Current Party, said.
Renaissance government
Al-Nahda is promoting the independent government in the media, and it is a government that, even if it produces non-partisan faces, will be close to certain political parties, in order to gain confidence in Parliament.
In turn, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Esnawi, a researcher in Islamic movements affairs at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies commented on the rapprochement of “Ennahdha” from the heart of Tunisia, saying that the movement took refuge in Nabil Karoui’s party “The Heart of Tunisia” because it represents its savior and the rescuer from all its current crises.
Belhassan Yahyaoui, the Tunisian writer and analyst, expected that the next government will be a renaissance with distinction; what comes by nominating the names of those loyal to it without joining the movement openly.
He continued in exclusive statements to the Reference that, thus, the winning revival will be from two sides, the first of which is its survival in power from behind the scenes, and the export of the “independents” of its policies, where the embarrassment will be lifted if the independent government fails, it will be far from that.
