The Muslim Brotherhood is attempting to take advantage of situations to realize its objectives in the Arab countries. That has been evident after the head of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Uganda on February 3.
The Brotherhood is seeking to instigate the Sudanese people against the Sovereign Council and the government, which has been a fruit of the Sudanese revolution that ousted Omar al-Bashir in April 2019.
Ahmed Assem, the Muslim Brotherhood’s spokesman in Egypt, incited the Sudanese people in a post on his Facebook page on February 4. “Do the free Sudanese people approve of normalization with Israel?
Commenting on the Brotherhood’s attempts, Egyptian security expert, major general Mahmoud Zaher, said that Turkey and Qatar, in collaboration with the Muslim Brotherhood’s international organization, are instigating the Sudanese street against the government, which has been a fruit of the Sudanese revolution.
“Qatar, Turkey and the Brotherhood’s international organization do not want stability in Sudan by creating sedition and division to realize their own interests. They want the Brotherhood to reemerge to the scene in Sudan again,” Zaher told THE REFERENCE.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said on February 3 that the Israeli prime minister met with Sudan’s Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in Uganda.
Moreover, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told al-Burhan in a phone call that the US would improve Sudan’s participation in the region and the international community for stronger ties between the United States and Sudan.
Qatar is seeking cover up its crimes in Sudan. For instance, the visit of the Qatar’s chief of staff took place after the seizure of a Qatari arms shipment in Sudan. The arms shipment was sent to Libya’s Government of National Accord and the Brotherhood’s terrorist militias, which are backed by Turkey.
The Brotherhood set up a plot after the ouster of former Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir in April 2019, to seize power in Sudan. It started with disbanding the sit-in in front of Sudan’s General Army Command by force. Later it would abort the Sudanese revolution completely and form a cabinet led by a pro-Brotherhood prime minister.
