Because of refugees and borders: A war of words between Greeks and Turks on communication platforms

In the form of official statements, the Turkish and Greek sides exchange accusations between them regarding the refugees, which prompted the pioneers of social networking sites in the two countries to follow the same path of exchanging views and accusations.

Activists on of the Greek Facebook network exchanged video footage of one of the cars of the Turkish police, while wandering on the Greek border, helping and providing refugees stranded at the border with food and drink, and blankets, commenting: “The process of paying the refugees was carefully intended from within those who took the decision in Ankara.”

While the pioneers of the Facebook, Twitter and Greek social networking platforms launched, by publishing several video scenes, of the Syrian families who failed to cross the Greek security barriers, and the security authorities there using hot and cold water cannons against the refugees, and some of the pioneers of social networks, made comments indicating the popular explosion of the two countries.

A Greek activist broadcast a video of a group of Syrian refugees, during their exchange of instructions between them, and tweeted, “It seems that the successful border control of our Greek authorities made the Ottoman soldiers intervene to achieve a real victory on the ground for the benefit of the Syrians, after their failure to cross the borders.”

Another tweeter commented on a video of a Turkish policewoman, conducting a razing of the metal border fence, saying, “The Ottoman police are trying hard to find loopholes on our border points, they are delusional.

The rift between the pioneers of Turkish-Greek social networks reveals other hidden aspects, namely the announcement of the Greeks to defend their lands, which is a clear indication that Erdogan not only threw the Syrian refugees to the unknown fate, but also threw them to the Greek death battle.

The hints of the Greek singers carried several threats, all related to the refusal of refugees to cross their borders, without obtaining the approval of its authorities, which is a legally recognized international right.
