Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has fueled hatred against the Syrian refugees, as Erdogan portrayed him and his Brotherhood media as the cause of the collapse of the Turkish economy, claiming that they represent a great burden on Turkey, justifying opening the borders with Greece and rallying them without mercy or the regime that led to the spread of crimes against them.
Assault on a Syrian child
In a related development, the Turkish judiciary issued a prison sentence for two years and 5 days, for a Turkish man who assaulted in a residential complex in Mersin state, against a Syrian child with Jordanian citizenship.
The court’s decision to imprison two years and 5 days came after several charges were brought against the aggressor, as a decision was issued to imprison him for 7 months and 15 days for beating the child, and a decision to imprison him for 3 months and 10 days for his attack on the child’s father, as well as imprisonment for 5 months for the damage to public property, and imprisonment for 8 months and 10 days for the threat of death.
The Syrian family’s lawyer, in a statement to reporters, commented on the court’s decision that it is not enough, saying: “The punishment is not enough, because we are facing an act of assaulting a child who cannot defend himself.”
Germany fire
In the context of the crimes committed against the Syrians, a group of German youth burned a house inhabited by a German young man, under the pretext that it hosted Syrian refugees.
The site stated that firefighters were not able to put out the fire that broke out in the late night hours easily, as the fire was completely controlled in the early morning hours.
The ambulance transported two young “refugees” to the state hospital in the state, after suffering minor injuries as a result of the fire.
Izmir crime
As a result of the Turkish hostile rhetoric against the Syrians, a heinous crime occurred in Izmir Province, where the Turkish authorities arrested a suspect, on charges of being involved in the murder that rocked Izmir, western Turkey, a few days ago, which killed a Syrian woman (35 years) pregnant in her fifth month. With a knife, her two-year-old son was strangled by a plastic cable.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet, the authorities arrested Sha, the neighbor of the Manar Al-Ahmad family, who was said to have been killed for the theft of her jewelry, after the authorities suspected his contradictory answers to the question he was asked, where he was at the moment of the crime.
Hurriyet added that the authorities, in addition to contradicting the suspect’s answers about his whereabouts at the moment of the crime, also suspected that there were traces of scratching on his face.
The Security Directorate seized the suspect’s mobile phone, with the aim of verifying the data received, while the authorities did not find the victim’s phone and the tool – the knife – with which the crime was committed.
