The World Health Organization (WHO) has called for considering Covid-19 as the world’s number 1 enemy this year. This makes the disease even more dangerous than terrorism.
WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom, described Covid-19 as an extremely dangerous virus.
He said at a press briefing in Geneva that the virus has wrought even more political, economic and social unrest on the world than terrorism did.
Covid-19 makes ISIS disappear
Against all odds, terrorist organizations welcomed the deadly virus.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed that its fighters are immune from the disease, thanks to their piety. It said the virus spread in China, which is basically a communist state.
A female member of the terrorist organization said ISIS had previously overcome a large number of natural catastrophes.
It did this because God backs it, the member said.
She added that God wreaks harm on the enemies of the organization only.
The woman added that ISIS also used the same natural crises in staging attacks against its enemies.
Meanwhile, ISIS encouraged its members to stage a renewed series of attacks. It asked them to target oil pipelines and oil tankers.
Terrorist organizations usually categorize natural crises as a punishment from God. A media outlet affiliated to ISIS encouraged terrorists previously to stage a chemical attack on western countries by spraying deadly chemicals in the air.
Prevention
ISIS changed its media discourse, having realized that Covid-19 can also infect its members. Nevertheless, it criticized the Chinese government for allegedly failing to protect Muslims against the disease.
ISIS also said the real numbers of infected people in China are much higher than the numbers declared by the Chinese government.
