The Libyan National army (LNA) is preparing for a new battle against the Turkish aggression within hours on Sirte, al-Jufra.
LNA has announced that the coming hours will witness a major battle in Sirte, al-Jufra, Al-Arabiya TV reported.
Spokesman of LNA, Ahmed al-Mesmari, added that movements of militias of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) were monitored near to Sirte, al-Jufra.
Warplanes struck overnight at a Libyan airbase that was recently recaptured by GNA and its Turkish backers.
The strikes were carried out against Watiya airbase, south of Tripoli, by “unknown aircraft,” the military.
Turkey withdrew a substantial number of its garrison at the Watiya base after suffering material losses in the attack, according to an LNA official and local sources who spoke to Al Hadath.
