The Iran-backed Houthi militia has received a series of painful blows from the national Yemeni army which is supported by resistance movements and the Saudi Arabia-led Coalition for Legitimacy.
This is especially true in the southwestern Yemeni province of Ma’rib.
Fierce battles are raging on now between the Yemeni army, on one hand, and the Houthi militia, on the other, in western Ma’rib, according to the Yemeni army.
It said on its website that its troops had participated in strong battles in eastern Yemeni capital Sana’a, having received backing by resistance movement and the Arab Coalition which offered them an air cover.
The Houthi militia had sustained huge human losses, the army said.
Over 20 Houthi terrorists had been killed in the battles, the Media Center of the army said.
It added that a large number of other Houti terrorists were wounded and several military equipment destroyed.
The center noted that the fighter jets of the Arab Coalition had attacked a large number of Houthi concentration points.
The strikes had caused major damage among the Houthis, the center said.
It added that the strikes had also caused the destruction of two vehicles.
The national Yemeni army had launched major operation a few weeks ago for the liberation of areas occupied by the Houthis in the area.
It succeeded in overrunning large swaths of Ma’rib and surrounding areas.
