Five civilians were wounded on Tuesday after a projectile, fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen, struck a village in Saudi Arabia’s southern Jazan region.
Spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan Region, Colonel Mohammed bin Yahiya Al-Ghamdi said the projectile landed on a road, wounding five people, including three Saudis and two Yemenis.
They have since been taken to hospital for treatment.
Al-Ghamdi confirmed that two houses, a shop and three cars were damaged from the projectile shrapnel.
