European investigations have shown the involvement of Iranian Supreme Guide Ali Khamenei in the blowing up of a conference of the Iranian political-militant organization People’s Mojahedin, widely known as Mujahedin-e-Khalq, in French capital Paris in 2018.
According to a report broadcast by the news channel Al-hurra, an official of the Iranian embassy in Paris had handed a bomb, weighing 500 grams, along with a remote control for the detonation of the bomb, to the perpetrators of the attack on the conference of Mujahedin-e-Khalq.
Investigations into the attack were carried out in three European states. They showed that the Iranian embassy official had received the bomb in Tehran in June 2018 and then hid it inside a diplomatic bag and travelled to Vienna on board of an Austrian plane.
The investigators had also found a document written by the official himself inside his car, where he explains the process of detonating the bomb remotely.
The investigations also had shown that one of the perpetrators of the attack made a conversation on the phone with an Iranian intelligence officer ahead of carrying out the operation.
Belgian authorities had, meanwhile, confirmed the involvement of Iranian Supreme Guide Ali Khamenei in the attack.
Khamenei had pledged to offer gifts to those who carried out the attack if they had succeeded in carrying out their mission, the Belgian authorities said.
