US warning against use by extremists of Covid-19 restrictions

Terrorist groups may return to their usual business: staging attacks, especially inside the United States.

This comes as the current wave of the Covid-19 pandemic approaches its end and some countries are unlocking.

This is why Washington is advising governments around the world against the use by terrorist groups of the reduction in Covid-19 restrictions.

American warning

The US Department of Homeland Security issued a national warning on the same issue. It said extremists can use the reduction of Covid-19 restrictions in launching renewed attacks.

The department warned against potential dangers posed by local terrorists who adopt racial ideas.

The pandemic has opened the door for a surge in the number of people believing in the conspiracy theory. It engendered anger because of the economic lockdown induced by it.

The US Department is apparently taking dangers inherent in this anger seriously. It said some problems are in the horizon because of this anger.

Certain danger

Extremists can use the reduction of Covid-19 restrictions in staging attacks around the United States, according to the Associated Press.

It said the same restrictions contributed to reducing attacks against vital targets in the US in the past period.

It referred to previous attacks by extremists against institutions, companies and religious concentrations.
