Europe is being submerged with terrorist operations against the backdrop of an increase in Salafist and Muslim Brotherhood movements in it.
These movements initially claim that they do not incite violence or extremism, things intelligence services in European countries warn against.
This is especially clear in France, Germany, England and Spain, whose security services warn against extremists attempting to take control of the Cordoba Mosque and other Spanish landmarks to announce the revival of Andalusia.
According to reports by intelligence agencies, these groups are taking advantage of places of worship to attract young Muslim community leaders with the aim of spreading extremist ideas.
They are also active in prisons to recruit inmates, exploiting their ignorance and lack of sufficient knowledge about the Islamic religion.
Social media is also being used as a powerful arm of Islamist groups.
European intelligence services unanimously agree that the threats and dangers of extremist groups are real.
Therefore, they work to keep the lid on these groups by putting active elements within them under control.
A French magazine warned recently against interest within Islamist groups, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, in educational institutions.
These groups, it said, want to expand their influence in educational institutions founded by the Brotherhood in Europe, especially in France.
Among these institutions is a school in the northeastern French region of Alsace and Orléans city on the banks of the Loire River.
They also include private schools in Lille in northern France.
Western intelligence services confirm that the Brotherhood targets children for recruitment, starting from the age of nine to indoctrinate them intellectually and ideologically by engaging them in normal non-political activities, such as football and helping them in their lessons.
This, they say, aims to build relationships between the group and its targets to scrutinize their religiosity.
This recruitment process can take a year, the intelligence services say.
It also seeks to form electoral bases that make them able to put political pressure on Western governments in more than one direction, they add.
