Salafist Jihadist currents posing threats to German security

The so-called ‘Salafist Jihadist’ current plays a major role in attracting the marginalized and those with troubled identities in society.

This current uses these people in implementing its extremist agenda.

This is manifest in the significant increase in the proportion of the current’s adherents annually.

These adherents are estimated now at 13,000, according to statistics released recently by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior.

It said women play a major role in the organization, whether they are mothers, teachers, or influencers in any of the Salafist Jihadist groups.

This fact was also highlighted by the European Commission.

It said in a report that women are responsible for the upbringing of children which gives them the opportunity to fill the heads of these children with extremism.

The head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia said women make up 18% of the members of extremist Salafist organizations.

The Salafist Jihadist organizations claim to be campaigning for ‘jihad’.

They say they want to serve the Islamic religion and spread correct interpretations of the religious texts.

The same organizations also claim to also impose Islamic law based on the rules stipulated by God in the holy Quran.

The Religion Right Group has become one of the most important of these organizations in recent years.

The group was founded in 2005 in Cologne. It played a role in persuading young people to join ISIS.

This extremist group used Islam to achieve its political goals through the recruitment of refugees and German youth.
