Despite the war of words and mutual threats between Tehran and Tel Aviv, the two sides conduct deals and transactions from time to time in the light of their common interests.
These interests have always brought the two countries together.
The Iranian government imported recently sports equipment from Israeli companies.
The Iranian newspaper, Warsh, revealed this deal recently, throwing some light on cooperation between the Iranian Football Association and an Israeli company in the purchase of sports equipment.
The equipment imported from Israel, it said, helps referees in football matches.
It is known as ‘mouse technology’, the newspaper said, noting that the equipment would be utilized in the famous Azadi Stadium at the center of Iranian capital, Tehran.
Azadi is the largest soccer stadium in Iran. It has a capacity of 120,000 spectators.
The Iranian national soccer team plays most of its matches in the stadium.
Warsh said a company working in the field of modern technology, headquartered in Hong Kong and owned by Israel, cooperated with the Iranian Football Association in the purchase mouse technology devices.
Nonetheless, the newspaper did not reveal the name of the Iranian official who concluded the contract with the Israeli company on behalf of the Iranian association.
The Israeli company has already sent the equipment to Iran, the newspaper said.
Meanwhile, the secrecy surrounding the deal has led to more excitement and media interest in it, especially among Iranian journalists who asked the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hamid Sajadi, about it.
The minister initially denied the matter, but then said he did not have accurate information about it.
“We are waiting to receive a report [about the deal,” the minister said.
