Heavy Flamethrower … Russia’s new weapon to win war in Ukraine

Russian forces have intensified their attacks on several Ukrainian cities, using lethal weapons.

They are doing this in an attempt to put an end to the war in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.

So far, the updated TOS-1A ‘Heavy Flamethrower’ launchers, an updated version of the TOS-1 launcher, which entered service in the Russian army in 2001, have entered the battlefield.

The Heavy Flamethrower acquires its importance from the fact that it fires thermobaric missiles with vacuum shells.

Unlike conventional weapons, it has a much larger blast wave. The rockets’ range is estimated at between 600 meters and 6,000 meters. It can burn military positions and formations in just a few seconds with tremendous firepower. The rockets are also capable of launching 24 missiles in less than six seconds. Their accompanying support vehicle carries another 48 missiles that can be prepared to launch another batch of missiles to continue the fight.

Panic for enemies

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Heavy Flamethrower system has no equal in western arsenals of weapons.

It showed wonderful results in the destruction of fortified enemy strongholds during the special operation. The fire is ignited, using the latest topographic and geodetic signalling software systems.

Moscow is getting close to victory, covering an area of up to 40 square kilometres with tremendous firepower, thanks to their ability to fire on all directions with a range of up to 6 kilometres.

International affairs expert Diaa Nouh said Russian forces had decided to use the Heavy Flamethrower system to resolve their battles at the gates of Ukrainian cities, after the war entered its 14 month, especially in Saratov province.

“The system is deservedly the latest in the world,” Nouh told The Reference.

“It is capable of achieving deterrence and spreading terror among the enemies,” he added.

He noted that the system has enormous destructive capabilities and great fire and bombing speed.

“It can cover vast areas with intense accuracy of fire,” Nouh said of the Russian system.

He added that the system is dedicated to setting fires and destroying buildings and structures.
