Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will confer with the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) upon his return home from a foreign tour, which kicked off from Cairo, Foreign Affairs Adviser of the president Nabil Shaath said on Wednesday.
The meeting is to turn resolutions of the Palestinian Central Council into executive ones and adopt a plan of action in this regard, Shaath added.
As for wriggling out of the Paris agreement, the Palestinian adviser told Voice of Palestine radio station that the issue requires a plan on how to face economic challenges ensuing from the break up of agreement.
He stressed the necessity of cooperating with both Egypt and Jordan in order to attain economic independence from Israel.
Earlier, the Palestinian Central Council decided that the transition period set by agreements reached in Oslo, Cairo and Washington no longer exists.
In its final communiqué, the central council entrusted the PLO with suspending the recognition of Israel till it recognizes the Palestinian state according to 1967 borders. (MENA)
