Militant terrorist group of Boko Haram released a video of 14 girls kidnapped 4 years ago from the Nigerian town of Chibok North East of the country.
The video coincided with the Nigerian authorities decision to release 244 ex-members of the terrorist group captured during military crackdowns on Boko Haram’s strongholds north east of the Country.
The former members of Boko Haram went through an intensive de-radicalization program while in Nigerian army’s custody. The detainees denounced the extremist group’s principals and ideas before being pardoned.
Boko Haram replied by releasing a video of girls who were kidnapped in April 14 2014 from Chibok, on the 21-minutes video the girls wished not to return to their families.
The video showed some of the brainwashed girls holding toddlers, while the others made sure to criticize girls who managed to escape from their terrorist captors.
Boko Haram militias kidnapped in April 14 2014, 276 female students from Chibok town, sparking a worldwide outrage against the extremist group that heavily exists in North East of the Nigerian State.
The video shows that the extremist group has managed to brainwash the kidnapped girls into marrying from the group’s militias, adopting the group’s extremist ideology and execute suicide attacks.
The terrorist group took advantage of the deteriorated security status at the towns located in North East of Nigeria, to execute several kidnapping operations during the latest years.
The United Nations reports say that the kidnapped children are used as suicide bombers, accusing Boko Haram of nourishing extremism among those minors.
The UN reports mentions that several schools in States of Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger were targets of the extremist group vandalizing attacks during the last 4 years.
On the other hand, more than 900 members of the terrorist group turned themselves in to the Nigerian authorities in January following successful military crackdowns on the group’s strongholds.
Boko Haram was founded in 2002, based in Northeastern Nigeria also active in Chad, Cameroon and Niger. The extremist group growing insurgency has killed tens of thousands and displaced 2.3 million from their homes.
Boko Haram was briefly aligned with terrorist group of Daesh, from March 2015 to August 2016.
