Parliament Social Affairs Committee Secretary Mohammad Abdel Hamid said Egypt’s hosting of the Third Investment Forum under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is a good opportunity for promoting the new investment law and recent economic reform plans.
In a statement released on Sunday, Abdel Hamid said the forum is held at a critical time to promote the available investment opportunities in Egypt as well as its future industrial development plans. He highlighted the recent successes achieved by Egypt in the economic reform program.
He also said the forum comes after a series of important economic developments and law amendments which have contributed to improving the business climate and enhancing the available investment opportunities.
The lawmaker also said the forum will address cooperation with foreign investors in the sectors of industry and services to Africa, Arab countries and the European Union, noting that the forum will expound the promising opportunities in the Suez Canal Axis and other national projects which are currently underway nationwide.
The forum provides also a chance for marketing the economic reforms carried out by the government in view of the positive reports on Egypt’s economy by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) along with the improvement in the credit rating from stable to positive, he added.(MENA)
