General Authority For Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Chairperson Mona Zobaa conferred on Monday with the assistant foreign minister of Mongolia on means of bolstering bilateral cooperation and efforts exerted to enhance ties with development partners.
Zobaa voiced hope that the coming period would witness a boost in the two countries’ relations and activation of joint economic and technical cooperation agreements in a way that would open up new horizons for future economic and investment ties.
The two sides discussed the recommendations included in the official statement issued by the first session of the Egyptian-Mongolian Cooperation Committee as well as the joint executive program for cultural, scientific and technological cooperation till 2018.
In this context, Zobaa asserted Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr’s keenness on enhancing the investment relations and attracting new Mongolian investments to Egypt.
She reiterated Egypt’s keenness on transferring its expertise to Mongolia especially in the fields of investment, investment zones and free economic zones.
The two sides agreed on buttressing relations and holding a second session of the joint committee to probe beefing up cooperation in all domains.
Head of the Asian Sector at the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation Mona Ahmed and the Mongolian ambassador in Cairo attended the meeting.
