Mamish: Navigation normal in Suez Canal, 143 ships transit int’l waterway over past 3 days

Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish said on Sunday that navigation movement is normal in the Suez Canal, adding that 143 ships with total cargo of 10.4 million tons transited the international waterway over the past three days since the beginning of the “Comprehensive Operation – Sinai 2018” on Friday.

This reflects international confidence in the measures taken by Egypt to secure the Suez Canal, he noted.

While examining measures to secure the international waterway, Mamish praised the Armed Forces efforts in this regard.

Up to 18 giant vessels transited the canal over the past three days with a total cargo of 150.000 to 230.000 tons in both sides. (MENA)
