French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived on Monday in Baghdad to discuss efforts exerted for the reconstruction of Iraq.
In post-arrival statements, Le Drian said his visit aims at asserting France’s continuing support to Iraq and readiness to assist it in its reconstruction process.
Le Drian is scheduled to meet with Iraqi President Fuad Masum, Prime Minister Haidar al Abadi and Parliament Speaker Salim al Jabouri.
An International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq (KICRI) kicked off in Kuwait on Monday and is to run for three days. (MENA)
