Egypt, French navy carry out “Cleopatra 2018”

The Egyptian and French naval units will carry out the joint training of Cleopatra 2018 in the framework of the annual plan for the joint training of the Egyptian armed forces.

This operation came in conjunction with the implementation of the tasks planned by the elements of the comprehensive Sinai 2018 , To strengthen the procedures of securing the maritime theater in the Mediterranean and Red Sea and protect economic objectives, and to prevent infiltration and smuggling in the Sahel region across the Egyptian coast.

The training includes many activities and events in the southern fleet in the Red Sea, which comes in the light of the depth of the military relations of cooperation between the two countries in many fields.
