“The Human Rights Watch report on the Sinai is completely away from the truth” Colonel Tamer Rifai, the Egyptian military spokesman said in a statement to “Al-Bawaba News”, pointing out that it relied on undocumented sources.
Rifai said that “the armed forces provide all commodities for the people of Sinai free of charge and at reduced prices, in coordination with the relevant ministries” before launching of the comprehensive Sinai 2018.
The military spokesman said: “The armed forces to ensure the arrival of trucks loaded with food to Sinai, as well as opened a number of outlets of national service”.
Rifai condemned the report of the lack of food and medicine in the Sinai, confirming the availability of such goods.
The report of Human Rights Watch did not go to accuracy, and called on all media to accept the information from their official sources, Rifai added.
