Doaa Imam
In a place where there is no room for incitement or accusations, Yemeni worshipers received statements that include an attack on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Last Friday, the mosque’s imams (Dhali, Maris, Qataba and Oud) were instructed to promote lies about the Arab coalition countries. These instructions were made by the Yemeni Congregation for Reform known as al-Islah which is a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood and its political arm in the country.
Looking closely into the MB group’s approaches, one can know that it makes actions only for its own interests. The 28-year-old Brotherhood group has been a mixture of contradictions and ambiguities with all parties, whether those that are in line with it or are attacking its ideology, in the consolidation of the principle of “interests before the homeland”.
The Reference reveals the Brotherhood’s role in sabotaging Yemen, and the relationship of the Islah party eaders with the international organization of the Brotherhood.
Tactical disrespect
According to the theory of progressiveness – which was invented by Mounir Ghadban, the observer of the Muslim Brotherhood group in Syria, and which revealed the resort to the expression of public positions contrary to the convictions of leaders, the Yemeni Congregation for Reform announced its disengagement from the international organization, in a press release published in September 2016, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the founding party.
According to the statement, the party denied the existence of any organizational or political relations linked to the international organization of the Brotherhood, claiming that the priorities of reform, as a political party, are national priorities and all its efforts are focused with its partners from the Yemeni political forces to save Yemen from its current plight.
The “tactical repudiation” of the international organization, a measure imposed by the then period on the Muslim Brotherhood of Yemen, especially as a number of al-Islah leaders were always attending conferences held by the international organization in Turkey and some countries that sponsor the Muslim Brotherhood. Those members include Ziad Shafiq Moheisen Al-Rawi and Shikhan Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Debai.
Yemen’s MB and international organization
There were reports of a meeting between Muhammad al-Yidoumi, the party’s president and the leaders of the international organization in Turkey, prior to al-Islah party statement. Undefined sources told the Yemeni press that al-Yidumi had announced the party’s abandonment of its relationship with the global organization of the Muslim Brotherhood after it presented the hardships it is facing and the lack of confidence in the Yemeni, regional and international forces by Yemen’s Islah party.
It is noteworthy that the book from within the Muslim Brotherhood representing the biography of Joseph Nada, former Commissioner for International Relations in the Muslim Brotherhood, revealed the strong relationship between Nada and al-Yidoumi in addition to the association of some Yemeni businessmen, including billionaire brothers Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar, with the leaders of al-Islah party.
Al-Ahmar was one of the first to flee to Turkey along with a gang hiding the wealth of the Brotherhood and the external financing networks, both from the international organization or from Qatar and Turkey. The year 2014 witnessed financial transfers to Ankara, prompting the Public Funds Prosecution concerned with corruption issues, to take a decision to stop any remittances abroad in the name of Major General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, Advisor to the Yemeni President for Security and Defense, Hamid Al-Ahmar and his family.
