The preparations for the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh have reached its final stages. Thousands of participants have arrived to the City of Peace to participate in the second edition of the World Youth Forum in the period 3 to 6 November 2018.

The forum agenda would touch upon a variety of subjects ranging from peace, development to innovation and Youth visions and dreams toward the future.
On the side line of the forum a model of the Arab-Africa-summit. This summit is a regional conference held for one day in accordance with the recommendations of the African union model held in last May.
The Egyptian Parties and coalitions would participate in some sessions to present their own ideas about the future of political life and the role of youth in politics.
Among the most prominent speakers at the forum Dr. Khaled Okasha, member of the National Council for Combating Terrorism, who would speak about the concept of national security and combating terrorism.
The forum includes many meetings, in which more than 50 Speakers will represent all the participating nationalities.
According to Ahmed Abdel-Aal, chief of one of the hotels, there is a daily influx of all the youth of the world since the week and expected to reach the occupancy rate to 93% on November 2.
Ahmed Saleh, the chief of a hotel, expected great refreshment to the tourism by the end of 2019.
In a special statement to the Al-Bawaba in Sharm El-Sheikh, Ghada Waly, Minister of Social Solidarity, said that Egypt is strong country with its young-people, adding the youth rate in Egypt more than 60%, and therefore it is fitting to host the World Youth Forum.
She added that Egypt is qualified to be the mecca of the youth of the world with all their ideas and different tendencies, to be discussed at this forum.
She also stressed that Egypt is keen to listen to all the ideas of young people to benefit from them.
Waly pointed out that she is preparing to participate in two sessions during the first forum to talk about volunteering, and empowerment the people with disabilities.
Waly also added that Egypt’s experience in volunteering is a very important experiment. We have two examples in the Anti-Addiction Fund. We also have more than 23,000 volunteers, as well as the Sinai initiative in developing care homes.
As for the empowerment of people with disabilities, we will present Egypt’s experience in the development of services for people with disabilities, as well as legislative reform in the Law on Persons with Disabilities issued in 2018.
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Muait, who participates in the forum, said that young people represent the hope of the future, as they have the ability to change the reality and improve the national economy and achieve the desired development.
He said: “We have to transfer our experience to young people and qualify them to take responsibility for the leadership and we have to work to involve them in decision-making and leadership to be ready for it”.
He added that “I welcomed the encouragement of young people to assume leadership positions as deputy ministers and governors through the presidential program for the rehabilitation of national academic leadership”.
Young people must trust themselves and their ability to assume responsibility by rehabilitating and training themselves.
They must trust in their country, its future and its leadership, and he must dream and trust in his ability to achieve his dream.
Dr. Hala Al-Said, Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, said that the forum is an important platform for youth interaction from all over the world.
She presented her experience at the Conference on Sustainable Development.
“I am participating in the conference through a session on equality and gender, and I estimate that Egypt has important steps in this regard” Hala Al-Said said.
Hala Al-Said also pointed out that “We have the first female governor and we have an effective representation of 89 deputies in the Egyptian parliament. This shows how important it is to support women’s role and confidence in their capabilities.
