Dozens of Jewish settlers accompanied by Israeli security troops forced their way into Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, according to local sources.
The extremist Israeli settlers and students of Talmudic yeshivas broke into the holy mosque in groups, under heavy protection from Israeli police.
Late in 2015, repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Jewish settlers and Israeli security personnel sparked months-long tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Meanwhile, Extremist Israeli settlers last night attacked with stones an ambulance in Shuhadaa Street in the city of Hebron, southern West Bank, according to local sources.
Eid Abu Menshar, an ambulance officer, told WAFA that extremist settlers attacked with stones the ambulance vehicle he was in as he was on his way to rescue a patient in Shuhadaa Street area.
Other witnesses also told WAFA that some 15 settlers attacked with stones the ambulance at the full sight of the Israeli occupation forces, who did nothing to prevent the attack.
