The Palestinian cabinet condemned the US veto in the United Nations Security Council to a draft resolution on immediate intervention to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The preliminary estimates of the losses caused by the latest Israeli assault hit about five million dollars for 1,255 housing units.
The losses will make the Palestinian government bear extra burden after it started the yet-to-be finished reconstruction operation following the Israeli aggression in 2014.
During its weekly meeting held in Ramallah on Thursday under Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the cabinet said that the US veto contravened international law and the resolutions of the international community.
The draft resolution represented an opportunity for the US to support the values of human justice, but it chose to back occupation and all what undermines peace efforts in the Middle East region and the world, the cabinet also said.
