Ikhwanizing education: The trick of Yemeni al-Islah Party to control Marib

The Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, continues to form its own state in the northern province of Marib under the control of the governor, Sultan al-Arada, one of the most prominent collaborators in the group.

The party offered Marib to the Muslim Brotherhood, empowering them to control health, electricity, economy, security, the army, and finally education. This was considered by observers as ikhwanizing education to produce a generation that believes in the principles and ideas of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party.

The activists monitored the decisions of the governor of Marib Sultan al-Arada, by excluding the principals and officials of education in the province and replacing them with leaders of the Islah Party.

The importance of Marib is that it is an oil province 200 kilometers from the capital Sana’a. It covers an area of ​​about 17405 square kilometers and is inhabited by 238,522 people. It is home to the most important tribes in northern Yemen. It has the largest oil reserves and the largest oil installations. It also contains a large reservoir of gas, and has the largest areas of production of petroleum products.

Marib is the capital of the Saba region of Yemen, which includes six regions. Saba, along with Marib, includes the provinces of Al-Jawf and Al-Baida. The region is a strategic target for the Brotherhood to build an emirate in Yemen and the region.

The Yemeni political activist Mohsen Nasser al-Kathiri al-Muradi published a document indicating the Brotherhood’s control of education in the province in accordance with a decision by the governor of Marib, al-Arada, considering that the decision aims to empower the Muslim Brotherhood and exclude all other political forces.

Al-Mouradi said that Al-Aradah not only handed over oil, gas, electricity, health, media and security to the Brotherhood, but is now working to enable the terrorist group in education to reach public schools, control teaching and create a purely Muslim generation.

Al-Mouradi said in a post on Facebook that Al-Aradah enabled the Muslim Brotherhood to control the University of Saba, in addition to control education in all districts, cutting off the national cadres in Marib.

He continued, “The most dangerous thing in the delivery of education to the Muslim Brotherhood is the introduction of party mobilization to schools and feeding the ideas of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood.” He also called on the people of Marib to stand firmly against these actions taken by Al-Aradah and reject them.

In addition to education, the Brotherhood controlled the security and military institutions in the province, where the Muslim Brotherhood in Marib was formed of members of the Islah Party, which penetrated the army to a large extent, especially the sons of Al Ahmar, which is one of the most prominent families of the Muslim Brotherhood in close relationship with Qatar and Turkey.

In previous statements to the Reference, Yemeni politician Kamel al-Khoudani warned of the control of the “Yemeni Congregation for Reform” on the resources of oil and gas in the country, with the transformation of the province of Marib, into a special state of the “Muslim Brotherhood of Yemen” led by governor Sultan al-Arada.

Al-Khudani called on the legitimate government and the Arab coalition to be vigilant about the Brotherhood’s plans, which may become a thorn in the back of the stability of Yemen and the Gulf countries.
