With the Arab alliance approaching to resolve matters, and defeating the Huthis in more than one battle, Iran gives life to its military arm in Yemen, the Huthi militias, with a missile system that may prolong the war in which the militias have committed all the inhumane and war crimes against the Yemenis.
The military spokesman for the Huthi militia, Yahya Sari, recently said that the group had long-range aircraft and ballistic missiles to threaten the security of the Gulf states.
Iranian military support
Several reports pointed out that the Houthi militias had obtained their arsenal from Iran. In a related context, the spokesman of the Arab Alliance, Turki al-Maliki, told a news conference that 89 percent of the ballistic missiles were directed against Saudi Arabia from the province of Saada and North Amran.
Al-Maliki revealed clear evidence of Iran’s involvement in providing Houthi militias with ballistic missiles and drones used in combat, offensive and suicide attacks. Some of them were used in Iraq by a terrorist organization.
Maliki said that the Iranian Houthi militias are using Sanaa airport to smuggle ballistic missiles or surface-to-surface missiles as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. Militias also use the port of Hodeidah for similar purposes.
Detailed information
In the same context, Western press reports revealed detailed information about the missiles owned by Huthis which have identified reports of at least three types of missiles, namely Volcano 2 and Qahr 2 and Badr 1, and the missile volcano 2 is the longest in the range, and was used to target the airport King Khalid International outside the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Media reports said that the names of other missiles aimed at Saudi Arabia are Scud missile B – Toshka missile – missile launcher 1 – missile earthquake 3 – 1 volcano.
A 2-Iranian volcano, originally known as 1, is classified as a surface-to-surface missile, which was flown from Iran to Huthi in an unknown manner. Its warhead is also fast, and it can travel between 600 and 800 kilometers.
Houthis and cloning Hezbollah
In statements to the Reference, Mohammed Hamid, a specialist in the Middle East, said that the Houthi militias are trying to reproduce the experience of the Lebanese Hezbollah in Yemen; as Huthis adopt the same military strategy using medium-range and long-range missiles to attack the opponent.
He added that extremist organizations usually resort to this because they are unable to confront their adversaries on the ground, and their rocket arsenal helps them to attack the opponent in the event of loss of territory controlled by them, as well as that the missile attack contributes to reduce casualties.
