The security belt forces have regained full control of the interim capital Aden following clashes with Islah forces who withdrew from the southern port city.
Security belt forces brought massive reinforcements from other regions in what appeared to be a fresh effort to seize the nearby provinces of Abyan and Shabwa from government forces.
“The Security Belt force completely controls the city of Aden along with its entrances,” Haitham Nezar, a spokesperson confirmed.
A government security source confirmed Aden was under the full control of the Security belt forces, saying government troops who entered parts of the city a day earlier “withdrew from Aden” to Abyan province.
The battle of Abyan began from two axes, the Southern Transitional Council moved towards Jaar, and after limited clashes with the Islah forces, the Security Belt was able to take full control of the city as evidenced by the pictures.
Troops from Jaar flocked to Zanzibar with advancing forces from Aden to the capital of Abyan.
The security belt forces resolved the confrontations, and took full control of the city of Zanzibar, the capital of Abyan province, after the expulsion of remnants of the reform forces.
The Security Belt forces were now setting their sights on Abyan and Shabwa provinces.
Thousands of Security Belt troops, dominated by the STC, were recalled from several parts of the country, including from the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, to reinforce the forces in Aden.
With these rapid breakdowns of Islah forces, hundreds of its members from Marib, Al-Jawf, and Al-Bayda were forced to flee.
The security belt forces maintain the security and stability of Lahj governorate and its directorates, and inspect vehicles and verify the identities of those coming to the province.
Troops reinforced their deployment in the main lines and the entrances to the center of the province.
Meanwhile, the strategic expert Khalfan al-Kaabi said that: The Islah Brotherhood militias of the terrorist Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, claims that there is bombing by air, and Aden was bombed based on their lies, stressing that they «escaped and the dust of their escape arrived in Taiz».
He continued: «Look for you an excuse or a lie you can believe, The dust of your escape arrived in Taiz, used to escape».
