Sudanese Foreign Minister Asmaa Mohamed Abdallah discussed with the newly-appointed US charge d’affaires accelerating removing Sudan from the State Sponsors of Terrorism List.
Abdallah stressed the importance of rwomving Sudan from the list as soon as possible to normalize Khartoum ties with the international financial institutions; a matter which empowers the transitional government to address the economic challenges.
The US diplomat, for his part, described the developments in Sudan as historical and positive, saying there is a great interest from Washington and the international actors to help Sudan.
He added that removing Sudan from the list is a joint goal.
