The Turkish media machine falsifies the reality of Erdogan aggression eastern Euphrates

Since the first moment when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of his forces’ movement towards the eastern Euphrates region on Wednesday (October 9th), in an operation he called “spring of peace”, Ankara has given the media element great importance to cover up its crimes in northern Syria.

The choice of the so-called “spring of peace” for the military operation reveals Turkish attempts to falsify reality using the media side.

It seems that Ankara was expecting the size of international condemnation and rejection of its operations, and even preempted all reactions by attaching the qualities of good and peace in a military operation aimed at the acquisition of non-Turkish territory and murder in cold blood.

To further emphasize this trend, Erdogan said that his country’s operation came to eliminate what he called terrorists, and to pave the way for the return of Syrian refugees.

From the refugees to the employment of civilians, the Turkish media has worked, as sites such as the Sham Network publish news that carries a humanitarian condemnation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). On Sunday, October 13, it published a story titled “SDF Militia Targeting a Civilian Car with a Guided Missile” in the village of Ghazli in Raqqa countryside.

Although the site deliberately described the car as “civil” to emphasize the mistake SDF has done against innocent people and provoked the feelings of the reader, but it continued that the incident is not the first, but occurred before the southern city of Jarablus in Aleppo countryside.

The Turkish websites took the line of defense to deny all the news published by SDF and among these news is the denial by Turkish sites of pictures published by SDF and said it was for those killed by the Turkish air strike.

It is noteworthy that these images received wide attention on social networking sites because they contained the bodies of hundreds of dead, and their bodies piled on top of each other, which was considered by its traders inhumane.

The Turkish media denied what was published by the media outlets of SDF for a girl who looks horrified. While the SDF said that the girl is one of the victims of the Turkish bombing, the Turkish media said that the girl died in 2017 with her family, and the picture is due to the aerial bombing of the coalition coalition.
