Ahmed al-Mismari, spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA) said Monday LNA’s troops would destroy any Turkish ship or cargo aircraft entering the country.
During a press conference, he said that the LNA is monitoring the weapons supplied by Turkey to militias in Misrata, northwestern Libya.
Al-Mismari affirmed that the LNA would not allow any Turkish presence in Libya.
He accused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of seeking to “turn Libya into a terrorist base to target the neighboring countries.”
The spokesman said that the LNA shot down a Turkish drone used by the Tripoli militia.
