Iran’s ties with Yemen’s Houthi militias have become evident as Tehran is strengthening the terrorist militias with all means of support.
Tehran is working on empowering the Houthis to carry out its plot in the region. It also seeks to give the Houthis some fake international recognition by hosting a Houthi ambassador in Tehran.
Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami discussed means to boost military cooperation with the Houthi militias during a meeting with Houthi claimed ambassador Ibrahim Mohamed al-Dailami on Dec. 22 in Tehran.
The meeting has confirmed military ties between Iran and the Houthis.
Commenting on the appointing of a Houthi ambassador to Iran, Yemeni political analyst Mahmoud al-Taher, said that the Iranian Houthi talks send a number of messages.
“First, the Houthi militias cannot do without Iran. In fact, the Houthis will do anything Tehran wants. Second, the Houthi militias will not respond to any international resolutions aimed at a peaceful political solution. Moreover, the Houthis have adopted Iran’s approach to waste time to carry out Tehran’s Shiite plot,” al-Taher said.
For his part, Saleh Abu Audal, the editor-in-chief of Al-Youm Al-Thamen newspaper, said Tehran’s hosting of a Houthi envoy as an ambassador of an internationally unrecognized government is an obscene violation of international law.
“The Houthis are highlighting their activities in Iran,” Abu Audal told THE REFERENCE.
“Iran’s mullah regime is seeking to create another Hezbollah, like the Lebanese Hezbollah, in Yemen. Tehran is working on this strategy backed by Qatar and Turkey,” he noted.
“Iran’s coordination with the Houthis will embroil any attempt for a political settlement to resolve the Yemeni crisis,” he added.
