The parties of the Libyan crisis are preparing to sit at the table of negotiation in Berlin, Sunday, January 19, 2019; the military solution is emerging, after the failure of Moscow negotiations, on Monday, January 14, 2019, to persuade the Commander in Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Khalifa Hifter, by signing a document of ceasefire.
Many do not count on the upcoming Berlin conference, despite the importance given by Germany and the United Nations International Envoy in Libya, Ghassan Salameh, as it coincides with the threat of a return to military confrontations.
The refusal of Hifter to sign the Moscow document caused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to vow in statements to him that the Libyan army would take revenge, if it returned to the military option.
The statements that Libyan analysts saw are emotional, ridiculed by the Libyan writer, Abdul Basit Bin Hamel, through his account on Facebook, saying: “Erdogan’s statements, such as barking, are increasing steadily with the number of inverted pots in Libya. Erdogan has been shaken”.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor, Aqila Saleh, demanded, on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, the ceasefire in Tripoli collapse, and the fighting to continue to liberate it from the armed militias.
He explained in media statements, that the Libyan army agreed to the ceasefire decision, in compliance with the Russian intervention, continuing his speech, in the Arab Parliament, calling on Arab countries to withdraw their recognition of the Al-Wefaq government as a legitimate government.
In turn, a member of the Parliament, Ali Al-Takbali, said during a Skype intervention for the program “Pulse of the Nation”, which is broadcast on “Libya, its Soul of the Nation” channel: About 60,000 Libyans volunteered to face the Turkish invasion if it happened officially, attacking the Berlin conference, as he said about him It will do worse than the Skhirat agreement.
In light of the burning of the internal front, it becomes clear that the Berlin conference is doomed to failure before it begins.
He expected, that the Berlin meeting will not result in any changes in the scene, considering that the area of difference between the parties is very wide, and there can be no common basis.
He justified this, with the Turkish president insisting on keeping the militias and power in the hands of the terrorist elements, supported by Ankara, which the Libyan army rejects in whole and in detail.
He expected that the parties would return from Berlin to the military confrontations, until one party could impose his power.
In turn, the Libyan writer, Abdul Basit Bin Hamel, supported the military scenario in Libya during the coming period, stressing that the army is on its way towards the capital.
He stressed in statements to the reference, that Al-Wefaq will pay the price of its recruitment to the Turkish forces, considering that the Libyan people will not forget them.
At the same time, Libyan politician Abdel Moneim Al-Yassir considered that Omar Al-Wefaq ended internationally, indicating that the government was internationally exposed, after the international community confirmed, its support by terrorist militias.
