Egypt’s Civil aviation min Mohamed Manar reviewed the recent measures adopted by the Quarantine at Cairo International Airport (CIA), in accordance with the health ministry’s and World Health Organization’s regulations to monitor arrivals to the country.
The Minister was accompanied by Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIA Company.
During the visit, Manar met the Quarantine team and assured their measures followed by the Ministry of Health at the airports in accordance with WHO standards.
The minister highlighted precautionary measures at CIA, followed by all employees.
The Minister commended cooperation and coordination between CIA, and Quarantine’s team praising what he witnessed of the medical examinations.
All Egyptian airports and the national aviation company have mandated employees in airports and on aircraft to implement quarantine instructions and take the highest level of preventive standards in dealing with passengers.
They have been trained to deal with suspected cases, to conduct medical examinations of passengers, to sterilize aircrafts and airport transportation, to safely dispose of waste, and to distribute informative brochures on dealing with the coronavirus to all workers.
Egypt has raised the alert level for the novel coronavirus at all airports, civil aviation ministry said, adding that all precautions necessary to confront the outbreak and limit its spread have been taken.
