Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not only support terrorist militias in both Syria and Yemen, but set his eyes on Yemen to find a place for him in a land torn by wars and conflicts.
He did not find it easier than the Brotherhood’s fold – or what is called the Yemeni Reform Party – to carry it on its curved back in front of the wishes and aspirations of the Ankara clown, in the usual deals between the two sides, Erdogan and the Brotherhood.
To complete that deal, Erdogan hosted in Istanbul on March 10, 2020, a delegation of the Yemeni Brotherhood, most notably Tawakkol Karman, and Hammoud Al-Mikhlafi, who were present at a symposium titled War in Yemen, and organized the symposium in Istanbul.
Erdogan relies on the right-wing Islah party, with the aim of attracting political figures present in the legitimate Yemeni government, in order to provide a legitimate platform for its presence in the right scene.
The Turkish president is also seeking to penetrate Yemen through the coasts of the latter to complete the Ottoman plan in the region, near the straits of the vital passages in the Red Sea, and the acquisition of Taiz and Shabwa to approach the Bab al-Mandab and the Arabian Sea.
According to the Emirates Vision website, in a report published on Thursday 12 March 2020, the Turkish activity in Yemen is hiding behind the guise of the Turkish Red Crescent, which has worked increasingly during the past period in various Yemeni regions, including the city of Marib and Taiz, especially in the areas controlled by the Reform Party.
The Yemeni news website Al-Khobar reported on Wednesday March 11, 2020 that Turkish activity in Yemen, which is carried out under the cover of distributing aid to the people of coastal districts, increased after the demand of the Brotherhood leader in the Reform Party residing in Turkey, Hammoud al-Mikhlafi, to the Turkish president to establish a Turkish military base close to the Bab al-Mandab, according to Yemeni news site.
According to what Yemeni News asserted – according to unnamed sources, Turkey was not satisfied with the incursion through the guise of what it calls humanitarian aid or support for the Brotherhood with money, but rather the Turkish intervention in Yemen developed to send Turkish officers secretly – according to the site – to help militias linked to the Islah party, they spread and operate in the governorates of Taiz, Marib, Shabwa, and parts of Abyan governorate.
It revealed that these Turkish officers mainly spread in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib, where they enter Yemen under the humanitarian cover and with alternative identities that hide their original identities and names, and facilitate their access to Yemen without drawing eyes are towards them.
