The Brotherhood of Algeria seeks to show their ability to direct indirectly the foreign policy of the Algerian state, during the era of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune especially in the Libyan file and Arab relations, but this ability is not real, because the relations between Algeria and Morocco during the Tebboune era have not changed.
During the past months, Hamas headed by Abdel-Razzaq Makri has tried to suggest to the Algerian and Arab public opinion its ability to form a lobby on the foreign policy of the Algerian state, which is completely “incorrect”, given that the Algerian foreign policy is based on the interests of the state. The Algerian community is far from “partisan” and “brotherly” relations in the region.
The Libyan file is at the forefront of foreign statements, as the Brotherhood in all its spectrums sought to embarrass the Algerian state, by creating a state of public and media pressure on the Algerian state by taking the position of the Brotherhood, Turkey and Qatar alongside the Tripoli militias, and declaring hostility to the Libyan national army led by Khalifa Haftar.
The head of the Brotherhood of the Peace Society, Makri, considered that there was a conspiracy against Algeria, after the Libyan National Army launched its operations to liberate Tripoli from the militias.
Makri said, in press statements, that what is happening in Libya is a conspiracy against Algeria, there is a race for interests, there is no doubt, but what is certain is that there is an attempt to break our country and not leave any chance for it to be a rising and strong country.
Makri announced the support of the Tripoli militias and the Al-Wefaq government headed by Fayez al-Sarraj, noting that “the illegitimate bodies in Libya are those that transcend international laws and are mobilizing a lot of forces to provoke the war there and bring in mercenaries to fight a proxy war.”
However, the Algerian state was not affected by the Brotherhood propaganda and its attempt to pressure it politically and media by taking a stand against the Libyan national army, where on February 5, Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Bogadoum visited Benghazi and discussed with the Libyan army commander Field Marshal Haftar and the head of the Libyan interim government Abdullah Al-Thani, the developments of the situation and relations between the two countries.
In a statement to local media, the Algerian President confirmed that the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Haftar, was among those who agreed and welcomed the Algerian mediation, in addition to most of the tribes of southern Libya, and what is known as the “government of reconciliation”.
