Iran’s mullah regime is not only trying to export the Iranian revolution to the Arab countries, but it also seeks to spread infection of coronavirus to the Arab neighboring countries.
Iran has become highly impacted by the coronavirus compared to the region, where the disease has spread to the Arab Gulf countries. However, Iraq is the most affected with a total of 93 cases until Friday.
Iraq couldn’t isolate itself from the viral infection from its eastern neighbor as mullah regime controls decision-makers in Baghdad, especially the security services and the executive authorities.
Iraq said it would close all of its border crossings — outside Kurdistan — for two weeks as of Sunday to prevent Iranians from entering the country, excluding diplomats, who have tried to violate the Iraqi decision.
The New York Times said Iranian diplomats wanted to enter Iraq along with their families in violation of Iraqi instructions. They even wanted to cross the border into Iraq without any IDs. Iraqi security officers took blood tests from the Iranian visitors. Some of them were tested positive.
Moreover, the Iraqi government called on Iraqis living in Iran to return home. It is estimated that around half a million Iraqis are living in Iran. Thousands of Iraqis returned home, and 8,000 were tested negative.
Lebanon was also impacted by Iran’s coronavirus because of Hezbollah’s representatives in the Hassan Diab-led government. Hezbollah pressured on the government not to ban Iranian flights.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said on March 14 that the number of coronavirus confirmed cases was 93.
Although Tehran described the spread of the coronavirus as overrated, the Iranian foreign minister sent a message to the UN Security Council on March 13 affirming that the disease “is serious”.
The Iranian people have decried the country’s poor health facilities and weak capabilities for combating the disease on the back of the economic turmoil, while the regime is supporting Shiite militias in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
