Algeria’s Muslim Brotherhood eyeing power

The branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Algeria works hard to return to the political stage in this country by usurping political activism on the streets and claiming that some foreign powers work to destabilize Algeria.

Sabotaging foreign project

Head of the al-Benaa al-Watani Movement, Abdelkader Bengrina, has called on his country’s political forces to unite against what he described as the “foreign project” in Algeria.

Some foreign powers, he said, are trying to use the protests on the streets of Algeria to destabilize the country and bring it down.

This came at a time some people are accusing Muslim Brotherhood leaders of serving the agenda of some foreign powers that want to harm Algeria.

There are accusations for the Movement of Society for Peace, the most important arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Algeria, also of nurturing relations with the United States. The movement head is also accused of having links with Freedom House which has a bad reputation in Algeria.

Unsuccessful attempts

The branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Algeria has been trying to use the streets going on on the streets of Algeria to serve its own interests. However, most of these attempts ran into failure.

Demonstrators on the streets also criticize Islamist movements and the transitional authorities in their country for failing to reveal the foreign powers conspiring against Algeria.

Instead of spreading fear from a foreign conspiracy, they say, these bodies have to clarify the public about these foreign powers.

Ideology

Some people find similarities between the actions of the Islamists in Egypt and Algeria.

Nevertheless, the Algerian army seems to be aware of the carefully crafted ruses of the Islamists in this country. However, it deals with them with the highest degree of self-restraint.

The army does not at the same time give the Islamists the opportunity to shed the blood of innocent Algerians or inciting anger on the streets of the North African state.
