The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) had asked its members avoid travelling to Europe, lest they should be infected with the Covid-19 virus.
Nevertheless, there are fears that ISIS can stage a biological attack in the countries of the continent.
ISIS had previously published information about the making of toxic and chemical materials, in what was viewed as an encouragement to its members to stage biological attacks.

There are fears that ISIS can use the Covid-19 virus in launching biological attacks. This is especially true with the presence of some eminent scientists within the ranks of the terrorist organization, including Abrar al-Kubasisi, known as the most dangerous woman in the organization.
Al-Kubaisi participated in formulating the ISIS chemical program which utilizes dangerous chemicals.
Iraqi scientist Suleiman al-Afari confessed that he had agreed to cooperate with ISIS in the making of chemical weapons.
He said he oversaw the mustard gas program inside ISIS. This gas, he said, was used against civilians and American troops in Iraq.
ISIS staged over 19 chemical attacks in the northeastern Iraqi city of Mosul, according to some estimates.
On February 8, 2017, the Pentagon said ISIS had used the labs of Mosul University in manufacturing chemicals, in general, and the mustard gas, in particular.
These developments show that ISIS has the expertise needed for the making of chemical and biological weapons. The terrorist organization enlists the services of specialized people in the making of these weapons.
This is why calls by the organization for its members to avoid travelling to Europe are taken with more than a few grains of salt.
Some people believe this call can be a new tactic by ISIS to deceive security agencies in European states.
