The Qatari economy is experiencing a severe deterioration in a number of areas, according to official government statistics published in late 2019, including the medical sector, which suffers, in addition, a collapse in health services, resulting in many citizens losing their lives.
According to the Qatari German Company for Medical Supplies, in a statement, March 29, 2020, for the period ending December 31, 2019, the net loss was QR 10.38 million.
While Qatar is accused of supporting a number of terrorist groups and organizations to implement its sabotage plans in a number of countries, and depleting the people’s resources in that, there is severe neglect in the Doha facilities, especially the health sector.
The death of children
According to the Qatar opposition website, Qilex, in a report issued on December 31, 2019, Hamad and Sidra hospitals witnessed the death of many children and mothers immediately after birth, due to the low medical service provided, and the lack of provision of health care in nurseries.
In addition, there are several accusations against medical teams in hospitals, as a result of the death of many mothers during childbirth, or the loss of their babies after surgery.
The spread of disease
Far from the coronavirus, which has spread in Doha, and infected nearly 700 cases today, according to the Qatari Health Ministry statement, March 30, 2020, which is a large number in a country with a population of 3 million, there are other crises in the health sector.
On May 29, 2019, the Qatari opposition website, Mubasher Qatar, stated that the Al Hamdeen regime has caused a great neglect in the healthcare sector in the country, which has led to an increasing spread of diseases among the country’s citizens in recent years, in light of the failure to provide the necessary needs for the work of medical institutions.
Among the diseases that Qataris currently suffer from is “lung cancer,” which has recently increased in the country, ranking fifth among males, and the eighth among females in the list of the most common types of cancer in Doha, confirming that the associated death rate has reached 16%.
