According to the Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism, in a prolonged report issued on March 25, 2020, ISIS broadcast instructions to its elements through social networks, claiming that the virus represents punishment from God, and that the only way to get rid of it and eliminate it, is to carry out terrorist operations, even if The simplest means available, which may be social networking sites, which the organization used to exploit since its inception.

According to the American magazine “Foreign Policy” in a report published on March 28, 2020, self-isolation may restrain the Corona virus, but it will fuel the intensity of extremism in the world.

Nikita Malik, director of the Center for Extremism and Terrorism at the Henry Jackson Society in London, said in an article published by Foreign Policy that extremist Islamists and far-right groups exploit widespread confusion and fear to spread hatred, noting that they are rushing to seize the opportunity to communicate with Another audience, other than the ones they used to reach.

At the same time, the World Health Organization confirmed that it is aware of the suspicious e-mails aimed at benefiting from the emergency surrounding the spread of the Coruna virus, noting in a report issued on April 1, 2020 that “fraudulent” e-mails have arrived, claiming that they are from An official authority, and often requests the provision of sensitive or personal information, such as usernames or passwords, clicking on a malicious link, or containing malicious attachments.

Cyber ​​security experts have also discovered that some hackers distribute e-mail messages, booby-trapped with a strain of malware, as if they were awareness leaflets about the Corona virus, and motivate the texts of the messages to open an attached file to learn more about the virus, and the attached files allow hackers to access the victim’s computer And, consequently, the piracy of personal data, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, in a report published on March 9, 2020.

Extremist organizations have already returned to work on the ground, and they may not leave the opportunity to return either through social media, especially since there is no better time than that – from their point of view – to hack data and advocate terrorist attacks, spread hate speech, violence and falsify facts.
