Kuwait’s al-Nafisi renews support to terrorism

Social media activists and writers in the United Arab Emirates have been angered by videos in which Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood figure Abdullah al-Nafisi promotes terrorism and heaps praise on terrorists.

The same video also shows al-Nafisi offending a large number of Arab politicians.

Soft messages

UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed sent a soft message to al-Nafisi and like-minded people.

The message consisted of video clips of the Kuwaiti national, in which he expresses deep respect for the Muslim Brotherhood and its terrorist ideology.

The videos caused bin Zayed to come under fire by Muslim Brotherhood media arms and cyberspace activists.

Black box

Some people doubted the authenticity of al-Nafisi’s videos. They said the clips were doctored with the aim of tarnishing al-Nafisi’s reputation.

However, nobody could challenge al-Nafisi’s support to the Muslim Brotherhood, even as he tried to deny any links with the Islamist movement in an interview with the Kuwaiti newspaper, al-Qabas, a few months ago.

Al-Nafisi told the Kuwaiti newspaper that he had never sworn allegiance to the supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood.

He added that he did not donate part of his income to the Islamist organization as other members of the organization did.

The aforementioned videos are part of a campaign on twitter to uncover the atrocities committed by the Muslim Brotherhood.

The campaign comes hard on the heels of the emergence of video clips in which Brotherhood members Nasser al-Duwaila and Hakem al-Muteri conspire against Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Some writers described al-Nafisi previously as a new Osama bin Laden in Kuwait.

Twitter users described the man as the “most evil” on Earth. They warned against the dangers posed by his radical ideas.
